IRES 2017: Reduced Early Bird-Tickets and Program Draft Online

Bonn, 23.11.2016 – The 11th International Renewable Energy Storage Conference (IRES 2017) und the 6th Energy Storage Europe (ESE) trade fair and conference grow further together: In March 2017 participants and visitors get an all-round insight into the development of storage technologies and their political, legal and economical framework conditions.

Energy Storage for the Energy Transition

In a renewable energy system, storage is needed to secure a stable supply of energy. Energy storage technologies are a crucial factor in integrating the growing amount of renewable energy efficiently and affordably. Simultaneously, energy storage increases the acceptance of the energy transition by strengthening the local and regional usage, replacing grid expansion and supporting intersectoral coupling.

Despite undisputed advantages of storage technologies, barriers for a successful and extensive implementation in Germany and Europe still remain. Besides the regulatory framework conditions and high cost, energy storage is in competition with other flexibility options.

2 Strong Partner, 1 Conference Program

The combined program allows visitors to chose from a wide range of presentations and discussion rounds. At the IRES-conference, the leading conference for scientific and societal policy for energy storage, particularly the storage options for renewable energy are discussed from a scientific point of view. Energy Storage Europe (ESE) focuses on economic and financial issues. In total, four parallel scientific and two economic and financial sessions enable the composition of an individual conference program with own focuses. Together with the Energy Storage Expo with around 180 exhibitors, more than 240 speakers and 3.900 visitors from 50 countries are expected.

The program is available on www.energystorageconference.org

1 Ticket for Conference and Exhibition

For an optimized visit and better networking of the participants, the organizers offer one conference ticket for the full event. This way, visitors are able to follow presentations in all parallel sessions and visit the exhibition without purchasing separate tickets. Alongside the conference and the exhibition, there will be two networking parties on the first and second evening of the event. This offers the opportunity to continue discussions and establish new contacts.

Early Bird Tickets are available on www.energystorageconference.org from now on!
