Company details

20 Years Of Expertise In Renewable Energies

ABO Wind is one of Europe's most experienced developers of renewable energy projects. Originating in Germany, ABO Wind now has subsidiaries in Argentina, Canada, Finland, France, Iran, Ireland, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Spain. ABO Wind AG has successfully developed, constructed and maintained renewable energy projects for more than 20 years now.

The ABO Wind team consists of about 400 professionals with expertise covering all phases of wind and pv-solar farm development: from site selection and land acquisition to assessing the specific yield for a project, engineering, planning and environmental impact assessment, bank financing, and construction.

We also provide long-term operational management or maintenance and services such as inspections, repairs, gearbox endoscopies or technical assessments. So far, the company has installed wind farms with a total capacity of more than 1,300 megawatts.

We offer a very open and honest approach to wind farm development, backed up by an experienced team, many of whom have been working within the wind farm industry from its early stages. At ABO Wind we see the whole picture of wind farm development and actively engage in public consultation prior to the submission of all of our wind farms.

ABO Wind also develops photovoltaic projects and offers EPC services.

Our bioenergy team provides operational management of biogas plants, develops new biogas plants or purchases and improves existing ones, and offers bioenergy services.

In order to contribute to a successful and comprehensive energy transition, our own department for future energy develops new concepts for a clean mobility, energy storage, and hybrid energy solutions.

Our division of heat supply provides efficient heating and electricity from cogeneration plants or photovoltaics to large real properties.
