High Power Programmable DC Electronic Load Model 63200A series

The 63200A series high power DC electronic loads are designed for testing a wide range of power conversion products including AC/DC and server power supplies, DC/DC converters, EV batteries, automotive charging stations, and other power electronics components. These units can be synchronously paralleled up to 240kW and dynamically synchronized for generating complex multi-channel transient profiles. The 300% peak overpower capability provides extra headroom for fault condition simulations in automotive batteries, fuel cells, and more.

The 63200A series have three operating voltage choices, 150V, 600V & 1,200V, with models covering power levels from 4kW to 24kW and up to 2,000A in a single unit.

The DC loads have unique user defined waveform (UDW) capability and external analog modulating input for s imul a t ing re a l-wor ld, cus tom waveforms. Another distinct feature is the dynamic auto-frequency sweep function, which enables detecting a UUTs worst case output deviation across a wide range of current frequencies. In addition, a 255-set of data storage function has been built in for recall of the stored settings at any time. For automated testing, the save and recall functions can save a great deal of time.

Chroma 17011 Charge/Discharge Test System is a high precision equipment designed specifically for testing Lithium-ion secondary batteries and Electrical Double Layer Capacitors (EDLC). It is suitable for cycle life testing, incoming and shipping inspection, product characteristics screening, material experiment and small batch trial run.

Chroma 17011 has fast output and measurement recording capability with highly accurate specification to assure the test quality. Its stable performance is applicable for various tests requiring reliable data. The flexible programming function is capable of sending formula to each channel for independent test. Moreover, the modular design of multi-channel architecture can be configured based on the quantity desired for test. Meanwhile, the channel supports parallel output that can be setup flexibly for large current tests. The application range covers various types of single lithium-ion battery testing in different capacities or battery module characteristics testing with large capacity. The high utilization of the test system makes no need to purchase a variety of equipment in different specifications for testing the diversified products.

Chroma 17011 uses Ethernet interface to connect an external computer and to control and program each channel independently with multiple test modes built in. It is able to implement the charge and discharge tests of CC-CV, CC, CP, battery DCIR tests, capacitance tests for ultra capacitor and DCR tests. The step conversion is performed based on the time, voltage, current or power set in each test mode; while the data collected contains the returned test step, status, voltage, current and capacity. In addition, sampling via the conditions of time, voltage, current or capacity can be set for selection flexibly.

Wound Component EST Analyzer Model 19036

Chroma 19036 is the industry's first Wound Component Electrical Safety Test (EST) Analyzer that combines the functions of impulse test, hipot, insulation resistance and DC resistance measurements. It has 5kVac/ 6kVdc high voltage output, 5kV insulation resistance, 6kV layer short impulse voltage and 4-wire DC resistance measurement that can comply with the wound components test demands by providing maximum 10 channels output for multichannel scanning tests to save time and labor costs.

The test items for wound components include AC/ DC hipot test, IR test, IWT (Impulse Winding Test) and DCR (DC Resistance). Chroma integrates the above tests into 19036 Wound Component EST Analyzer that can perform safety tests on wound components like motors, transformers and solenoid valves to verify their quality.

Poor insulation of coil often causes layer short, cross-line short or pin short during usage, and the reason could be initial design error, poor fabrication process or bad insulation material. Thus, to add layer short test in the electrical safety test manufacturing process can complete the scanning test for multiple windings at once to increase the quality of wound components.

Combining the layer shor t testing function, the 19036 has 6kV impulse voltage with area, differential area, Flutter and Laplacian judgments to supply effective measures for inspecting poor coil insulation.
